Electric Yellow Cichlids for a 29 gallon? ?
I can't believe I'm posting this but I have to ask. It's driving me crazy.
I researched and the results only ended up confusing me even more.
Is it a really bad thing to have 3 electric yellow cichlids (2 females 1 male) in a 29 gallon tank?
If they bred and the numbers overwhelm the tank I would upgrade 100%. It would be the perfect excuse to hubby. Lol
Oh...the convicts all survived. Since having them I've done a 25 % water change every night. I actually really enjoy doing the water change. Lol I've named them all now and their behavior changed but I'll update that on my tank journal.

For a holding tank I would say yes for now but you will need a bigger tank they can get 5in and like swimming room they will get over populated mine would have around 30 fry each .any of my cichlid tanks were 55 g or bigger unless it was a grow out
Glad the cons are doing good

Hmm mm. ...that doesn't offer a lot of time to convince my hubby where my 29 gallon is rather new.
I'll probably just stick to my plans with the blue rams and if the blue rams don't work out I'll upgrade to a bigger tank.
Thank your for your information!
