Can a 130 gallon tank be stood on end?
We pick up our 130 gallon tank today and I need to know if it can be stood on end to transport it from my pick up to our condo? We need to stand it on end to bring it upstairs via elevator on a dolly.

Yes it can, I have done that with bigger. Put a chunk of rug or something as a pad between the dolly and tank.

Speaking of the huge tank, it needs major cleaning. No clue how long it sat. But it has like a hard substance covering the glass & I've been scrubbing it with generic vinegar and an algae scrubber. Is there anything better that I can use? My GF is getting antsy about getting it set up now, even though I still need to build it's filter tub etc.

Have you tried using a one sided razor blade instead of the algae scrubber? Those things do miracles!

You may go through a few, but I started using old plastic coated gift cards to scrape glass tanks. The stiff plastic coating has never scratched my tanks.

I shall try the gift card/credit cards. Thanks! Got a lot of work ahead of me on this one.
What can I use that would eat up/soften the build up grime?

For real nasty buildup you can use acetone.. but VERY careful not to get any on the silicone.
