White spot on Armando's "nose area"
One of our Z. Tequila, Armando, has a white spot on his head, close to his eye - it almost seems to stick out a little on the top, but not on the bottom. Also, there are a few pinkish lines that are just visible within it. This came on fast I think, as neither hubby nor I noticed this on him yesterday. He is acting normal, eating, etc. Could this be a cut? He does get pretty aggressive with the others during feeding time. Or might it be an infection/disease? I tried to get some pics, but he just won't stay still! Plus, my camera was not handy, and so these were taken with the iPad.

Hard to tell in the photo, is it fuzzy at all? No other fish looking similar or acting differently?

It does not look fuzzy, but it sticks out a bit on the top, almost like a scale or two has turned white and sticks off, if that makes sense. The lower part is just flush white, with some very faint pink "strings". Everyone else looks fine, no marks, nothing.

Me too. Hubby thinks it is a cut, and I sort of agree...sort of! A tiny part of me worries that this may be an infection. I did a WC and added a little extra stress coat, just in case....

It definitely has not gotten worse. Hubby thinks there is improvement, I think it looks the same. Armando is still acting like himself though, and no one else has demonstrated anything similar. I really hope this will just pass...

The white spot on Amando remains, hubby is convinced it is looking better than before, I am not totally convinced, but I will say that it looks to be more "streamlined" now (i.e nothing is bulging out now). This may be a good sign....

Positives thoughts on the next ferry over, oh wait that's not a very reliable way to send them.
This forum will have to do.

Thanks Steve - whether by ferry, by forum, or by mental transference...I received your positive thoughts, and I thank you! I have a good feeling that this is an injury, more time will tell....

Update on Armando's white spot...well, it is still there! I just might agree with hubby now in that it appears to have shrunk..."maybe" a little, but it is still bright white. No change in his behaviour - and no one else is displaying anything odd.

Hopefully it is just an injury that is healing. Glad to hear it may be smaller, hopefully it continues to shrink. Good luck to Armando.
