What I scored
I am on my way to Schiphol (Amsterdam airport) and I have in my bag:
2 pairs of t. Pumila (sparkling gourami)
2 pairs of c. chuna (honey gourami wild colour)
And 5 p. signifer (don't know the common name).
Lets hope they make it all alive!
It has been a very interesting trip fish and aquarium wise and I will report more once I can access a normal keyboard instead of my iPhone!

Re: What I scored
Thanks! Lets hope I don't have too much weight in my suitcase; I had to forego several local food goodies in exchange for the fish!

Re: What I scored
In the worst case I can always eat the fish LOL... Mmmmm, should have thought to bring some more nutritious fish then... These are so small that they do not even qualify for 1 bite snacks...

Re: What I scored
Well, chances are that you will not; my luggage with the fish did not arrive and is reportedly still in Paris. It is supposed to arrive with a 24 hr delay. Hopefully they will make it.

Biulu
I have had fish survive over eight days in breather bags and seven days in regular plastic bags.

No George, I am in Mexico. The fish I brought can all live in the harder water I have here and in mtl.

Re: What I scored
It is Sunday morning and last evening they said my luggage had arrived in mex city and would come to Oax on the last flight. This morning I called the airport here and the last news is that it will come with the afternoon flight. That truly is a setback; this is the 3rd day they are in the bags, almost 4 if you count the time difference...

Re: What I scored
If anybody ever plans to come to Mexico, never ever fly Aeromexico! My bag is in Oax but they refuse to bring it to me. I can pick it up at the airport until 11 pm but according to the administrator all personnel has left...
I just spent 30 dollars talking to a 1 800 number ( these are not free for mobile phones; thank u mr slim!) to move Aeromexico in Mexico City and nothing...
Where can I vote for the worst airline of the America's?!

Re: What I scored
Unbelievable! I fly often so thanks for the tip. North American standards do not exist outside of CanUsa. I lost my luggage once flying out to Newfoundland (not to visit Steve) and ScAir Canada finally found them after 4 days. Luckily I was still in St John. I do think Newfoundland is one of the nicest provinces, by the way.

Why thank you, not that I have anything to do with it.alexmtl wrote: I do think Newfoundland is one of the nicest provinces, by the way.
Not sure if you have seen any of the commercials the tourism dept has put out over the past few years. They are truly amazing.

How frustrating that must be and I thought Air Canada had that department cornered.

Re: What I scored
I have been to every major city in Canada, and every provinces, except the territories. Hopefully some day. Newfoundland is one of my favourites and I enjoy the wildlife and pristine environment. I enjoyed the pubs and the seafood cuisine. And the best is that they speak "sort of English". I found the dialect interesting, then again, I live in Quebec.Sbenson11 wrote:Why thank you, not that I have anything to do with it.alexmtl wrote: I do think Newfoundland is one of the nicest provinces, by the way.

Re: What I scored
My 'tantrums' worked in the end; around 8 I got a call asking how to get to my house and I had my bag around 9. Everything was still alive, even though all bags had leaked.
This morning the pseudomugil male is parading in front of the girls. It looks like the other one won't make it. The dominant male of the chunas looks gorgeous in full colors. The sparkling gouramis are still somewhat shy but have also colored up. I will try to take pictures later when the lights are on. All fish are small ( the way I like it) so don't expect too much.
I only wonder what to feed the smallest ones though; I have very small pellets but even these seem too big for them. Time to crumble some flakes I guess...
