Tiger Barbs
I recently picked up 6 tiger barbs. I have got some black fin tetras and neon tetras in my 40 gallon tank. The lady at the pet store told me the neons would die but, I put the tigers in and its been a day or so an my neons havent died and my blackfin tetra has just joined into the school of tigers. Anyone had neon tetras die from tiger barbs?

Re: Tiger Barbs
Tiger barbs like water with a good flow. They can be nippy, and since they grow way larger than neons, there could be problems. But if you have a strong water flow, that can be less of a problem.
Just don't let the numbers fall.
And live plants will help tremendously to give the neons cover. They aren't species I would mix due to size, levels of aggression and water needs, but once it's done, it may not turn out badly.
