Fast duckweed removal
I got mad at the carpet of Duckweed taking over the surface of one of my 33 gallon tanks.
I got out my wet dry shopvac.
I washed out the hose and container then put one of my gavel vac tubes into the suction emd of the hose it was a good fit.
I then use the smaller hose to suck up the DW but it kept pluggig up.
I removed the gravel vac and started sucking up the DW from about 1/2 inches above the surface of the water.
It worked very well.
Dump the contents of the vacume tub into a container and check for any fish the may have been sucked up.
Fish are normaly very smart and don't get sucked up.

I just kill duckweed in the tank with my black thumb of death.

Re: Fast duckweed removal
this particulat tank has a lot of plants grow just below the surface and many peces if driftwood projecting out of the water.
They seem to help collect and protect the surface from using a net to skim the surface.
