Where to find Macaryn 2?
Anyone know where we can get Macaryn 2? We cannot find any locally, so we are hoping to have it shipped...

Seems kind of expensive but Amazon has it.

Its generally used in conjunction with Maracyn 1. What are you wanting it for? Not effective with Ph over 7.5. Furan is a good alternative for under 7.5. Seachem Kanaplex for over 7.5. API General Cure is a good all purpose med also. Petsandponds.com usually has a good selection of meds.

The last time I bought a few antibiotics in the US, they expired unused. Since petshopicillins were effectively banned in Quebec, I don't see any higher losses. I think I killed more fish trusting my ability to choose the right med than I have by not using them and changing the heck out of my water...

Re: Where to find Macaryn 2?
Thanks guys - we are just trying to figure out what to do to help Solo (my post with info on Solo is in the bottom dwellers section). Solo is not getting any worse, but he is just not getting better either. We are at a loss. Thought Macayrn 2 might be the answer, just based on a few sites. We are at a loss
Our ph is around 7.5, maybe higher. I may look into general cure - hubby really wants to treat...I am honestly fearful to add any more meds into his water, we have already tried another med that didn't seem to help.
My gut is now telling me Macaryn 2 may not be the answer...the price seems crazy, but I would pay if I thought it would help - just feeling uneasy...

Amazon.com still has it.
Shell, I have an extra box with a freshly expired date. It has been stored cool and dark. I would be happy to mail it up, if it can cross the border???

Re: Where to find Macaryn 2?
Just realized that I never responded here! We have decided not to medicate with anything else...going in line with Gary's comment, we are gong to do daily water changes for as long as we need too instead! Thanks for all if the suggestions for places to get Macaryn, and thanks for the offer nyleveiam - much appreciated !
