Ah crap, I got a leak :(
I went into work this morning to feed everyone and look what I found
The SW tank next to my desk has a leak. The plastic base has always had a crack in it, but it never leaked before. Oh well, project for next weekend, drain and reseal.

Bummer. If it can wait until next weekend to fix, it must be a small leak. Still a major pain though. Your tanks just want to keep you busy and out of trouble.

I have a serious fear of that happening, especially since I have no idea how to fix one.
I also have a 20 gallon tank balanced on an old, antique drop leaf end table with legs about 1 inch thick... did I mention I have a young, 85 lb Labrador running thru the house???? It scares the cwap out of me every time he grabs a toy and takes off.

Good luck Steve, Home Hardware has Silicone for a reasonable price to reseal it. I am sure you will get the job done

That's exactly where i get mine,
Last time I had to reseal a tank I bought a three pack, so I should have a tube or two kicking around here somewhere.

Lol, the key is finding the spare tube or two! It's not always as easy as it sounds, if you're anything like me.

You have seen my basement haven't you?
Actually probably going to have to put up with this leak for another week. Got a busy weekend with the new Koi arriving and trying to finishing filling the pond. Don't really have a half day to commit to a tank tear down.
