Spencer Jack
Has anyone ever done a custom order with him? I sent him a message last week asking if he could get me peacock gudgeons and I haven't heard back. Is it not something he does or does he just take longer to reply about things like that?

Montrealapisto has a lot of experience with Spencer Jack. Maybe ask him directly?

Re: Spencer Jack
I don't have direct experience ordering from him but have gone in on group orders and contacted him with questions about fish. I think I had to email him twice before he answered, maybe he gets a lot of questions and some slip through. Once I did get in touch though he was very prompt in responding. His packaging was perfect. I ordered 6 threadfin rainbowfish and he sent 8, presumably to cover shipping losses. All 8 survived though and are thriving in my tank.
I would shoot him another email in case he missed the first one.

I have dealt with Spence many times and have chatted via e-mail quite often. He is normally quite prompt in responding. He does a lot of travelling at different times of the year, including trips to South America so there are times when he might not be as available.

Ooooo got a reply!! He says they should have some this summer! So excited! This is one fish that if they breed won't get a lecture from me.

Hahaha! Do you understand now why people try to breed their fish?! It is the only way you can keep certain species on a regular basis...

Harder to find fish yes, why people are breeding dime a dozen variety fish of low quality and then giving them away no.
