Article of the Month AUGUST 2015 : Aqua artist in Kon Tum, Central Highlands
I am currently in a small provincial capital in the central highlands of Vietnam. A poor province with a large ethnic population (mostly Bana people) and guess who I found?!
Hoang Duy, a guy with talent and drive. He gets his supplies from the much richer southern coastal provinces around Ho Chi Minh City (former Saigon) and these include rili shrimp, blue crayfish (he feeds them gold fish), bucephalandra and a whole gamma of mosses.
I wonder how he is able to make a living of this in such a town
The tree-like driftwood he makes from a Chamaecyparis wood (a kind of cypress tree).
Enjoy!

He is using several types of moss, ranging from Taiwanese to Christmas moss. I cannot remember which type he puts on the tree.

What a talent. That piece of wood is remarkable too. Really really nice. I'd love to have that in a tank for sure. It would be such a highlight.
