What is this? Img_0314

I noticed this on a single Massivore Delight pellet just now. Pellet was only in the tank for a couple minutes when I noticed something moving on it.
It's worm-like. That's the best pic I could get and I think it was dying off fast in the sink.

Any ideas??

Could be an insect larvae of some sort, if they got into the bag.

I wonder if that is what actually killed the pleco? There was blood coming out from his private part.

As for the bag, I emptied the contents & tried to find more, but could not see anything moving.

I doubt a bug larvae would have hurt a pleco- many people cultivate things like mealworms for fish as a high quality food. It doesn't resemble any dangerous parasite I have ever seen a photo of - it's just a leech or a larvae, most likely. Pure coincidence.

Any ideas as to where it may have come from?
Anything I should do?

I wouldn't worry about it. If you are particularly concerned, you could contact the company with a photograph of the creature.

Stuff flies in. It's probably just a version of finding a bug.

I dumped out the bag & couldn't see any more. So am not sure it came from the food.
