This a beautiful but extremely fast growing plant. in best conditions high light and C02 it will grow 2-3 inches a day. Without c02 and less light it will grow slower but still quite fast. Due to the very fast growth rate it is best if placed in the background, however under higher light the plant will get more tall than bushy and reach for the lights. To help deal with this and to encourage a more bushy growth ruthless trimming is recommended at the top of the plant. This plant will tolerate anything from less than 1WPG to 5WPG.

Its needs good amounts of traces elements, especially iron supplementation, to keep this plant in good health. Higher lighting and lots of micronutrient supplementation cause this plant to develop reddish hues on the top. For pruning the topping and replanting is the best method. Letting it reach the surface allows it to produce many side shoots where it will produce more growth. This plant grows like the weed it is, so frequent pruning will be necessary. But very beautiful non the less.

Very nice plant! I can see its flourishing for you. Where have you sourced most of your plants?

You know that is a very hard questions to answer as sources come from all over. I have bought plants from my LFS, theplantguy website, from other hobbyist I have some found selling plants on kijiji from other places in Ontario. (this plant came from Toronto) and I also get many from my own aquarium society.  Cool

Thank you Alex. I try to keep them informative but not to long but enough to be successful with the plants. Oh course the photography for these profiles is fun to do too.
