How long does it take on a new tank?
I am just wondering how long I need to wait before I move my female pleco from the 130G tank to the new 125G tank.
Water quality & water temp are almost identical.

I'm not sure I'm quite clear on the question (particularly in relation to algae)? Are you asking how long it will take to establish a cycle?

If you are referring have to food, plecos can't (or shouldn't) rely on algae naturally occurring in the tank for food. They are in need of suppliments (ie algae wafers, shrimp pellets, veggies).

The tank is cycled as I used 3 filters that had been running for a year now. I do feed algae wafers, but since plecos like to stick to the glass, I was wondering how long it should take for some to form on the glass of the new tanks.
